Last month my parents sent me a gluten-free care package. Not only was I excited to get some gluten-free treats, but I also wanted to see what they included. This time they included Christie's rice thins, which I had never tried before since they aren't listed as gluten-free. Although they aren't labeled gluten-free, there is no gluten included in the ingredients list. I checked them out online and everything seemed fine. Aside from being pretty salty, I was suprised at how tasty these baked crisps were. I tried Sesame, Cheddar, and Multigrain. Very tasty!

Say hello to...Zesty Rice Crisps.
If you haven't yet seen these on the shelves of health food stores or grocery stores, you should definitely be on the lookout. I thought they would taste like any other rice cracker, but they make no mistake when saying that these crackers are 'zesty'. Very different from Mary's Gone Crackers Crackers since they don't have any seeds in them but definitely tasty in comparison. These baked crackers taste great with hummus, with cheese and pickles, or simply by themselves. If you can't seem to find them in stores, you'll always find them online at the Gluten Free Mall.Monday, February 16, 2009
Say hello to...Orgran Animal Cookies.
If you haven't yet tried Orgran Animal Cookies, you definitely should soon! They come in both vanilla and chocolate flavours. Normally I like vanilla better, but these cookies taste even better in chocolate. I originally discovered these cookies, as well as Orgran brand, when I was on holidays in Australia. I didn't quiet like the gravy, but they have fantastic crispi-bites crackers too. You can buy them online or simply check them out online at the Gluten Free Mall. They're a nice light snack that can easily fit in your purse when you have a long day. Be careful not to eat them all in one sitting ;) Friday, January 23, 2009
Say hello to...Mary's Gone Crackers.
My only gluten-free friend (in Seoul) and his wife recently left Korea to go back to Canada. They left me 2 generous bags of gf food that they had ordered from http://www.glutenfreemall.com/ while living here. As I have been eating a little at a time, trying to make it go a long way, I recently discovered one of the most amazing crackers; Mary's Gone Crackers, original crackers. They are a crunchy, seedy, and nutritious cracker that tastes fantastic with cheese and pickles. If you haven't already tried these incredible gf crackers, you should definitely pick up a box in the near future. I have since finished those crackers but am excited to make my way through the rest of the food they left me :)
